Hi everyone! My name is Katie Silva and I have not yet had an opportunity to meet you all online. I am a Teacher Librarian (R-6) at Wilderness School in Adelaide, South Australia. It is also my honour to be current President of HASS SA, an educator association meeting space for Humanities and Social Sciences educator associations. I'm passionate about learning being engaging, real, fun and connected.

Hi Julie, wow I am so impressed with the quality of the resources you have put up on CANVAS for us.  At this stage I have scanned through most of it and ducked into a few of the links. next step is to implement some of the tools.

Good morning! I'm Scott Millman from Nambour State High School (soon to become Nambour State College). We have just over 1000 students on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Our school will begin Global Studies classes in Year 8 next year, which will include intercultural understanding and some foundation language. I am very keen to do better than "Make a poster about Uganda" but I haven't done anything more than sign up some ePals so far.

Hi everyone, My name is Rosie Broderick. I am Head of Boarding at Wilderness School in Adelaide South Australia. Wilderness already has three teachers who are connecting globally through Flat Connection projects.  I am looking forward to finding ways to engage my students with other students particularly in the area of science - Year 9-10 students.

Hi everyone, I'm Stacey Taylor I'm Head of Library at Kambala in Sydney. I'm interested in making connections across the world for our students in a meaningful way. I'm also an IB educator and run workshops across Asia Pacific which makes me want to be more connected.

Hello! My name is Sofía and I am the Educational Technology Coordinator at the American School of Puebla in Mexico. Ours is a big, bilingual PYP school with over 1000 students from 1st through 6th grade. We have two computer labs and mobile labs with iPads that each grade gets one day per week (1st and 2nd grade alternate on Mondays). We are always looking for new and better ways to use technology to impact learning. We don't do global connections very often but we've done some activities with other IB schools. Nice to meet you all.

Nice to meet you all.
