Global Connections

As I am writing this post it is currently forecasted to be the hottest day on record in Adelaide. It is also a good time to plan for the new term and reflect on how far we have come over the past twelve months. A year ago, my summer recess was again coming to an end and I started to ask myself a few questions about the…See More

Interest in Flat Connections
My goal is to have one of my classes involved in a global, flat classroom project by the end of the year. Initially I would like to experience a project by being a teacher mentor or a judge.

The Power of Pull - RSS feeders in the classroom

As an art and design teacher I am always endeavoring to inspire my students by showing them a variety of visual ideas and forms. The idea of an RSS feeder is to pull information towards us and to curate it efficiently and effectively. Hello Avylon!

Julie Lindsay suggested that I contact you re: the upcoming Flat Connections Conference in Sydney, AU. I teach pre-service teachers at Athens State University in Athens, AL.

Could you please provide information on how to watch the keynote via video-stream and how to be active in the backchannel?

Thanks so much!

Hi Avylon - I am one of the project managers for the FCP 13-1 Flatclassroom project.  We would love to have you be an expert advisor in our project.  I believe we still have a couple of topics without advisors.  Please join the wiki at: fcp13-1.flatclassroomproject.org.    Then contact Lisa Durff as to the topics still in need of an expert advisor (she is overseeing this aspect of the project).  This week is wiki focus week.  Please contact me with any further questions.  Welcome!
